Stella Seaton-Sims, after careers as a teacher and as a BBC TV Director, now concentrates on her life-long passion of singing.
After singing as a soloist with many groups in her native Evesham, Cambridge, London, the South and the Midlands, and having a broad repertoire of sacred and secular music, she began giving solo and duet recitals in 1998.
She has performed regularly in Birmingham, the Midlands and elsewhere - including many contributions to Birmingham’s Artsfest, at the Fireworks Fantasia in Cannon Hill Park, the University of Birmingham’s Barber Institute of Fine Arts, the CBSO Centre and Jesus College, Cambridge.
In recent years, Stella’s keen interest in Russian music has taken her, several times, to Moscow where she researched and studied privately with Prof. Galina Pisarenko of Moscow Conservatoire. One trip was sponsored by West Midlands Arts.
Future concerts include performances in Birmingham and London.
